Garden Art, with Ms. Messom
When: Mondays 2:30-4:00pm

In this Joyful, garden themed class kids will create exciting garden art using a variety of materials, including wood, concrete, and mosaic materials. Design a mini garden, create rock art, compose a garden themed painting, select pieces of wood for a backyard bird feeder and more. All materials will be provided. 💗
*Please note: The week of May 27th class will take place on Tuesday, May 28th to make up for no school on Memorial Day, May 27th.
Pokémon League, with Math ‘n’ Stuff
When: Mondays 2:30-4:00 pm
Dates: April 15 – June 10, no class May 27
Grades: 2-5
Location: Daniel Bagley Library
Tuition: $200
Pokémon is a card game in which two players act as Pokémon Trainers and attempt to outwit and out play their opponent using different Pokémon creatures and tactics in the arena. The better trainer emerges from the match victorious. This after-school Pokémon class teaches the basic rules of the Pokémon Collectible Card Game! Our young Pokémon trainers will get their own trainer decks to duel their friends. They will add new cards to their decks as they learn deeper strategies and the spirit of the game.
Magic: The Gathering, with Math ‘n’ Stuff
When: Mondays 2:30-4:00 pm
Dates: April 15 – June 10, no class May 27
Grades: 3-5

Math 'n' Stuff’s after school Magic program is a student-enrichment program that teaches strategy, community building, and complex problem solving through the Magic: the Gathering collectible card game! Magic: the Gathering is a card-based strategy game that combines elements of both chess and poker in which each player brings their own pieces to the game and chooses their own strategy to enact. This program will be accessible for both new and experienced players. New wizards to the program will start with a Math 'n' Stuff-provided deck to duel their friends. Players will learn complex strategies, develop a community of friends built around Magic, and practice personal integrity and enjoyment of the game.

Open Art Studio, with Ms. McNeer

Join Ms. McNeer in a structured art studio environment for self-directed learning. Each week there will be a new tool, technique or medium introduced and added to the library of knowledge students have obtained in prior weeks. Following introductions to available materials, student artists advance their individual artistic processes through exploration and discovery, skill development and artmaking and revision. This is a structured class for young artists who want artistic independence and are eager to try new tools and techniques. This class has been requested by students!

Minecraft Modding, with Coding with Kids

Calling all Minecrafters! Join us in this course to build Minecraft mods (modifications) while learning coding. With a drag-and-drop coding environment, students learn coding concepts, such as Variables, Conditionals, and Loops. They apply the concepts to personalize the game with custom world maps, new items, chat commands, and mini-games! It will be an exciting journey of coding and creativity!

Chess, with Chess Wizards

Your brain is your super power: Join Chess Wizards for challenging chess lessons, exciting tournaments, fun, team activities, and more! If you’re brand-new to chess, we’ll teach you the basics and get you playing right away. If you’re a seasoned checkmate artist, we’ll show you new ways to let your creativity show on the chess board.

The Magic of the Sea: Mermaids, Dolphins, and Whales, with Ms. Stackhouse

Enchanting mermaids, charming dolphins and gentle whales will take us on a journey into the magical, mysterious world of the Sea in this class taught by long time Daniel Bagley teacher Ms. Stackhouse. We’ll explore various craft techniques to make colorful mermaids, twinkling playful dolphins, luminous jellyfish, shimmering whales, a secret underwater world and more! Dive into the enchantment of the Sea while growing your creativity and having fun!🐬 All materials will be provided.

Explore World Dances, with Illumination Learning Studio
When: Wednesdays 1:10-3:00pm

Tuition: $224
In this class, the dancers will explore dances from different countries and cultures around the world. Specific countries and dances that we investigate will be figured out as a class based on the unique interests of the group. Some of the areas we may look into include African dance and its influence on America, differences in movement between Eastern and Western dance styles, and a timeline of European dance history to see the cause and effect of society/arts.

Wonders of the Sea: Dolphins, Whales, and the Mer People, with Ms. Stackhouse

Dive into the shimmering underwater world of the Sea with playful dolphins, singing whales and the magical Mer People by our side. In this slightly more advanced class taught by long time Daniel Bagley teacher Ms. Stackhouse, we will explore different creative techniques to make charming jeweled dolphins, shimmering Mer people, musical whale wind chimes, bioluminescent jellyfish, a secret underwater world and more! Immerse yourself in the enchantment of the Sea while growing your creativity and having fun! 🐬 All materials will be provided.

Spanish, by Jump on Languages

Who knew that learning Spanish could be so fun? At Jump On Languages we emphasize play based learning to provide everyone an accessible way to learn Spanish and about Hispanic culture. Our teachers will provide sessions that are based on games and activities where students will speak Spanish, learn key Spanish words and about Hispanic culture. Register to participate in this great enriching experience!

Lego Engineering, by Seattle Young Engineers

Theme: Transportation & Aviation
What we will learn this session: Powers and principles in physics: Newton’s first law (law of inertia) and third law (action-reaction law), transmissions, chain and snail transmission, kinetic energy, potential energy, lift force and law of conservation of angular momentum. Models built in class: Racecar, Motorcycle, Balloon car, Tow truck, Rescue helicopter, Sand buggy and many more!!

Little Coders: Intro to Coding, with Coding with Kids
When: Friday 2:30-4:00pm

Grades: K-2

Tuition: $299
Tailored for early readers, this course helps students boost their computational thinking while having fun with friends! Beginners learn coding basics like Loops and Conditions. Returning students tackle new challenges, such as debugging. All students build exciting games, stories, and animated characters.
